Is this course digital or live?
This is a pre-recorded course delivered directly to your inbox daily over the course of three weeks. I teach you one sign a day paired with real-life video examples of kids between 6 months and 30 months signing back!
What’s the time commitment?
Mama, I know you are busy! So I made this SUPER easy to fit into your day. The longest lesson is the Introduction (10 minutes) and then, it’s truly 5 min - or less - a day to learn a new sign then go use it for the next 24 hours!
When is the best time to start this class?
Today! Whether you have a newborn, infant, or toddler, now is the perfect time to start building your habit of signing. We chose the 24 signs that match the 24 words you say to your baby MOST to help you practice them daily.
My child has a speech and language delay. Will this help?
Yes! At its core this course has two goals: nurture your parent/child connection and reduce communication frustration. Older toddlers with speech and language delays are wildly frustrated. They have unique, complex thoughts they cannot express leading to massive meltdowns. Using simple signs consistently helps them feel connected and understood. This course also supports children with neurological or non-verbal diagnosis: autism, downs syndrome, selective mutism, ect.
How is this different from other baby sign programs?
Great question! Sign to Speak wasn’t designed as an entertainment video to watch with your baby. (although those are pretty fun!) It’s an educational course that empowers you to create effective communication strategies with your baby while building their brain from birth! The daily bite-sized lessons are so easy to implement you create a positive signing habit over three weeks that supports your little one until they are talking in full sentences!
When will my baby sign back?
Most babies have the hand motor control to use baby versions of the sign (think babbling in sign language) by 9-10 months old. If you start signing to them as infants they may produce signs that early. Starting later is ok too! By 12 months old they can babble sign back instantly!
